Wood Soda Fired Pottery September 2024
This collection of functional work is from a catenary arch kiln wood soda firing in September 2024. Five and a half pounds of soda ash solution were introduced at peak temperature, and then a short final reduction to allow for better vaporization. These pieces were fired to cone 10 with a softer reduction during the soda inoculation for a gentle amount of carbon trapping. Some re-fires were included from the March firing with varying success.
