Wood Fired Pottery March 2024
This collection of functional and sculptural work is from a train kiln wood firing in March 2024. This firing I created more sculptural pieces, focusing more on the actual process of kiln loading and how the position of pots impacts the surfaces and influences the direction of the flame and ash deposits. These pieces were fired to cone 12 with a small reduction cooling to bring out more reds.
